[basketball reference] This year, the Spurs became the 7th team ever—and the first in more than 30 years—to give up more than 10,000 points in a season.

Hopefully we don’t do that again.
This is a function of higher scoring across the league. The league average offensive rating was 114.8 last year, the highest since the stat was first recorded in 1973-74. There have been other teams as bad as the Spurs, but none that played in such a high-scoring season (at least none since 1973-74).

And we still somehow finished with only the third worst record.
Worth it for Wemby
As a new casual fan, I’m so interested in the nuggets being completely unable to defend anything for 5 straight years. How does that even happen.
Teams playing with more pace, more 3’s equates to more points. People forget the Spurs started the season like 7-6 or something. Injuries torched their season; specifically Poeltl, their defense cratered when he went down. Wemby will help some but a rookie won’t solve all of these deficiencies.
tanking for wemby at its finest.
This year’s Wiz about to smash this record.
