If only they had any other coach other than Larry Brown. Marbury would not have been blackballed by the franchise had Larry Brown not fractured the relationship between him, management and Marbury.

#13 with absolutely no defense lmfao. Dude just wanted to see the game winner point blank.

Remember when starburry outplayed Kobe in that all star game down the stretch. Beautiful. Dude was an underrated stud in the 2000’s.

how good was starbury in his prime. i’ve never watched him play so someone educate me.

If Marbury was more of a chilled character, regular staritng point guard get in do your job, not really a lone star of a team.

I think he would have had a way longer career.

Marbury would of been best staying with Garnett in Minny

never forget this was post Knicks-Nuggets brawl. The Isiah Thomas embroiled in sexual harassment investigation. Knicks were 9-17. This started a 3 game winning streak for us and we won 4 out of the next 5 capped with the 3OT Pistons thrilled where Rip hamilton had 50, Marbury fouls out with like 40 in double OT. Channing Frye with the game tying shot to go to 3OT. The game after this is the David Lee tipping in the shot against the bobcats with like 0.1 second left.

For a brief moment in early March we were the 8th seed lol. Then it came crashing down. The Zbo trade in the off-season to pair with Eddy Curry to be the twin towers never worked out. Steph and Isiah beefed mad hard in the sexual harassment trial and had the altercation on the plane. The team never recovered, MDA got hired, told Steph to sit on the bench leading to him being out of the rotation and that was that.

The pain of being a Knicks fan in the mid 2000s.

    My top memories of Marbury:

    1. Ball fake on Vlade+Catching fire in the 2001 ASG to win it for the East

    2. His face that he made after Amare’s poster dunk

    3. Eating Vaseline lol

As much as I like Starbury , only the guy rebounding and him didn’t quit on that play. Had the rebound/in bound man not paid attention and threw great pass it’s over anyway.. great play .
