The NBA informed all 30 teams that they interviewed Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard and his agent, Aaron Goodwin, about Lillard’s stance he only wants to play for the Miami Heat, league sources confirmed to The Athletic on Friday. The league advised Lillard and Goodwin that any future comments “suggesting Lillard will not fully perform the services called for under his player contract in the event of a trade” will be subject to discipline, as will be any similar comments by players or agents moving forward. Lillard requested to be traded from the Trail Blazers to only the Heat on July 1. — The Athletic

I hope James Harden got the memo too. Seems like he needs to be rained in more than anyone else.
To be honest this doesn’t change much. There still is only a few teams that would’ve trade for Dame to begin with. Bos just extended Brown so they’re essentially out. Most importantly Dames feelings has already been express. You can’t unsend that message. So teams will still be skeptical about giving a huge offer for him. You see that’s the issue. It’s not that teams are scared to trade for him. They just aren’t going outbid Mia because it would require multiple picks & young assets. That’s not a risk they will take for a disgruntled star who only wants to play one place. So nothing has changed really.
