If people ask me why this is one of or the greatest dunk comps ever, it’s this: NO MISSED DUNKS. The dunks were unreal but the fact that they just kept going back and forth without screwing up anything was unbelievable. Same with the Vince Carter comp. It was just professional, no botches. Nothing ruins the contest like watching a guy try what would have been a wild dunk on the first attempt 3 different times and then fail because yeah, he couldn’t do it. It’s not fun.
(I’m not actually sure whether lavine or Gordon missed any. They may have, but it wasn’t more than one and definitely not in the final round.)
