  1. Joe Cronin has a resentment against the Heat due to the media and agent manipulation and will not be trading Lillard to the Heat. Insiders tells me he is in serious discussion with Toronto for an OG deal for Lillard.

  2. Y'all are forgetting, Portland does not have to trade Lillard. If they don't like the deal, they can just keep him. He "requested" a trade. Not demanded, he also just built a HUGE home in Portland. I know he'll still play wherever he is at. Even the bench in Portland 😂

  3. @Oregonian86
PNW like Seattle and PDX have a history of “racial covenants” they treating Dame like a property. But if he was a woman in a unhappy divorce from a “mediocre relationship” based on “lies”. We would be talking different.

  4. Cronin is typical Portland corporate manager. Mediocre, liar and delusional that he is great.😂

  5. Miami Heat have exploited Dame and Blazers with super weak trade offers then lots of whining about Portland not takING Heats sucker trade. LOL.

  6. I don't see a veto. I see the trade get done soon because no other teams are coming to save Blazers and their fans. The Heat increased their offer when there is no other offer. The memo isn't going to help Blazers.

  7. Portland is going to wait. Why wouldnt they? Just sit back and relax, this is going to take a while.

  8. Can we stop discussing Dame until there’s a deal or not? Tire of the same old speculations.

  9. Portland isn't "disinterested" in trading Dame to Miami; Miami is disinterested in offering more than their recent offer, and everyone thinks Portland has to trade ASAP, thus limiting the trade market to Miami. Dame poisoned the well with his "Miami Period" message to the rest of the league. That's why the Silver memo to the league assured other potential trade partners that Dame would play per Dame's clarification. Now the Blazers are waiting for the Summer vacation to end and GM's to put trade packages together in two months. I also see opportunities after the 12/15 contract availability for front-court players, perhaps even Orlando Robinson from Miami.

  10. A lot of consequences will be if they veto this situation, a lot of superstars will demand a non-trade clause on their next contract, they will protect their career if they reached a dead end like dame. Btw the nba never vetoed AD's trade but fines a small amount of $$$. Miami will take that fine.

  11. We don’t have a legit starting pg on the roster anymore. We have to get this done. Our season won’t be pretty with no pg

  12. Blazers won’t trade Dame this off-season. Pretty sure they’ll just hold him until the deadline. Dame is out in Portland right now hosting kids’ camps just like he does every year, he’s transitioning into a new home, he’s out in the city. Not many in Portland think he has to be gone by training camp.

  13. A messy force out. An unfortunate ending to such a distinguished career. Not only "all is fair in love and war" but business also. Dame has gone over to the dark side. It's not a good look to force himself out of a contract. If the NBA don't get control of this, there will be chaos ahead.

  14. Salary cap circumvention by Miami and/or Lillard demands the league veto any below market value deal trading Lillard to Miami. One year ago, Lillard used a salary exception, which allowed only the Blazers to pay Lillard more money. The CBA doesn't allow a trade demand by Lillard to circumvent the CBA so Lillard can get his special deal with any team of Lillard's choice as if he were a free agent with no salary restrictions.
