Oh fuck that’s even worse what a bad typo

  2. G1Spectrum

Dude went from torn MCL to torn ACL in one tweet RIP

  3. TuqiDuque12

Not that I want it to happen to stars or to young players, but it’s always worse when it happens to older role players, because then it’s over, like his NBA career is done now, maybe even his basketball career if he doesn’t want to go play overseas.

76ers cooked, what a disaster. Feels bad for Harrell

This makes it sound like he blew his knee in the process of getting an MRI

🙁 He had a great career man. 6moy as an undersized C that can’t shoot or defend is a massive accomplishment

damn he doesn’t deserve that. get well trez 🙁

Everything has gone down hill ever since he left the Clippers.

Went from 6moty to basically nothing.

Went to the Lakers and was meh had high energy moments with offensive rebounds back up 2 hand dunks but too small defensively.

    Then bounced around to irrelevance

Edit/// nvm he won 6moty it’s Schroder who i was thinking about because both of them went to the Lakers after the 2019-20 season.

Sad to hear. I think him going to the Sixers really messed up his career. Even though he was undersized for a center (Paul Reed really proved to be superior as a Embiid’s backup) The NBA kinda moved on without Montrezl unfortunately. Not to be malicious but this doesn’t change the Sixers outlook and yeah good luck with recovering.

Man Harrell played poorly at the absolute worst time. Right before free agency. He still got a good amount of money in his career but he was on the cusp of making over 100 mil throughout his career

Thankfully he signed on for the year after declining his PO, would have sucked to tear his ACL and not be getting paid/have medical coverage/team access.

Once a Clipper, always a Clipper

Hope he makes a good recovery

Time for the Sixers to pick up another ex-Laker C.

Sixers will surely apply for a disability exception. It is a reminder that playing/working out on at least a partially torn ACL is possible—it causes knee instability and joint pain (and obviously swelling) since more stress is placed upon them with an ACL tear, but it doesn’t necessarily cause dramatic pain for everyone. We’ve seen guys walk off the court/field on their own power with a torn ACL, we’ve read stories of some players even playing at least for a few minutes after tearing an ACL in-game. But it’s not something one can do long term.

This really could end Trezz’s career considering his age and his decline in effectiveness over the last year…Ingles and Green are wings that can shoot the 3 and are great locker room presences. They’re going to have more value post-ACL than Harrell who has a game that’s pretty heavily based on energy and physicality. A dip in athleticism would drive his value down further from where it already was.

Gonna be really interesting to see if the Sixers make any kind of play on Christian Wood or if they’re comfortable rolling with Reed/Bamba/Petrusev as their backup frontcourt and signing a vet insurance type behind them.

    Y’all he’s not THAT old he’s 29, I don’t think his career is over

  16. Phenomenal2313

That’s a career ender , great career for an undersized C who can’t defend nor shoot

He’ll always have that amazing Clipper run

  17. Mendacityman

29 in this league is like 34 compared to 20 years ago

  18. Cactuses_Octopusses

Sounds like a really rough MRI if it fucked his knee up that bad.

  19. Ok_Caregiver3923

why does dude have an l in his name?

  20. SpicyP43905

Damn, Philly can’t catch a break eh?

  21. coacoanutbenjamn

He’s done. He made over $39 million in his career. Hope he makes the best of it

  22. angel2timez

Hornets we’re going to give him a nice contract before he went to the lakers. Only the top 10 guys should bet on themselves, one bad move and the nba just moves on to the next player

  23. Paused_Toast

*Contract mysteriously falls perfectly in the shredder*

    Whoops!

  24. StructureOv9u

He made over $39 million in his career. Hope he makes the best of it.

    “76ers center Montrezl Harrell”

This alone cracks me up. Dysfunction meets dysfunction.

Like when Ben Simmons was in-house.
