Time for new owners. The DeVos family are shitty people to say the least.

Yet the NBPA had no problem with idk physical abuse, or anti-semitism, but a political donation to a PAC is soooo alarming. Its not like Americans spend 12-14 billions on political campaigns anyway

What the NBAPA has become is probably one of the best arguments against unionization in the U.S. michele Roberts was a clown and I don’t see any reason it would change after she left.

Owners vote too. Half the country votes one way. People shouldn’t act surprised.

The word “alarming” needs to go.

I mean, you can be a Republican or a Democrat, the comment from the NBPA is a pretty rational one:

“”The NBPA statement emphasized that NBA governors, players, and personnel have the right to express their personal political views”. including through donations and statements. However, when making contributions on behalf of the entire team using money earned through the efforts of its employees, the team governors should consider the diverse values and perspectives of the staff and players.”

IDK, but Adam probably doesn’t want the NBA to get cANcELed by the conservatives. It is hard to prove racist intent in donating to a racist politician sadly. The link is obviously there, but the donors can always lie.

All they’re saying is that you can donate to whomever but do it your own name and not the teams

My hate of the Magic is and had always been justified. Fuck your team

Let’s be honest, when it comes down to the business side of things, the owners of most franchises give far less of a fuck about basketball and care infinitely more about protecting their wealth and investment, so they donate and vote R because they want to keep the class divide thick.

The NBAPA can do whatever it wants, they have almost zero power here lmao.

They’re the same PA that has a bunch of insurance fraudsters representing Wu on their behalf. So what?

  12. America is a totalitarian regime, no doubt.

I’ve donated money to homeless people who might use the money for narcotics/alcohol. Should I be metaphorically crucified online for it?

Guess what, basically every owner is a piece of shit, good people don’t become super wealthy.

That’ll help attract free agents to Orlando.

    Oh hi kettle, I’m pot

  16. NY2GA23

Damn, the vile DeVos family owns the Magic? I’d have to boycott that team until it was sold. Long history of far right wing extremists..

orlando magic coming out here with straight razors 2024 baby let’s gooooo

It seems odd that they would back a politician who wants to drive out the company that employs about 25% of the people in Orlando and attracts millions of visitors. Disney is synonymous with Orlando, and they’re publicly supporting the guy who wants to kill it? How moronic can you be?

  20. pueblodude

I wouldn’t intentionally spend a penny in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Arizona, etc.

Alarming is the best they can come up with?
