It'll be nice as a Celtics fan having 2 things we haven't had in a long time, production from the center position and a tall (playable, sorry Tacko) center. The team has relied on perimeter scoring for a generation and not having easy and high percentage points from the center spot is a huge reason why the team gives up huge leads and loses to bad teams so much. You gotta have a mix of what your team can do and having wings and guards do all the scoring with no threat at the rim is tough on the offense, just look at how easy the offense comes when Rob Williams is there just to open up lobs. Without a guy who at least tries to score from the paint (looking at you Horford) the defense can just switch and the offense can't punish it for easy points and to force the defense to do something different and open it up for the Jays.

The cap over Marcus Smart is ridiculous, both Derrick White & Malcom Brogdon outplayed him offensively, and KP is âhealthyâ and even played more games than Smart..
They essentially turned the first pick into Jordan Walsh though. I donât know if heâs going to be productive at all as he lacks skill and is not really NBA ready offensively. Drafting someone like Hunter Tyson shouldâve been the move and wouldâve been a good offseason but itâs the Celtics, even when contending they always draft projects than often donât pan out.
