THIS Is The Clippers Last Chance…

The LA Clippers have a ton on the line this season, and this is their last chance to make the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George era a success.

  1. if im the clippers i think theyh just gotta ride it out. try and see if it works this season, if not bail, and keep one of either pg or kawhi and trade the other and accept just being a mid team and try to ride out the end of either pg or kawhi's career, or try to see if you can get them both to accept a big paycut and see what bones can be.

  2. The Clippers right now, are a team nobody needs to take seriously. Until (and this is very unlikely to happen) they can prove to stay healthy, there is no reason to think they will be better than a play in team.

Like…until the defending champs are beaten…they go into the season as the favorites.

    1. Nuggets
    2. Lakers
    3. Suns
    4. Warriors
    5. Kings
    6. Grizzlies
    7. Thunder
    8. Mavericks
    9. Clippers
    10. Jazz or Rockets

That is how I see the West right now. Because I don't buy into the Clippers. PG and Leonard are unlikely to play more than 55 games when they would need at least 65 and probably 70 games from both to make the playoffs.

This isn't to question their talent. Both guys have a ton of it.

But between this bullshit load management crap and them being injured for nearly half a season every time, nobody in their right mind should be in on them until they prove otherwise.

  3. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. And I'm not insane. So I'd trade them both for whatever I could get and start over. Otherwise the Clippers will limp into the playoffs and be bounced in the first round, maybe second at absolute best, and all this will be due to injury issues.

  4. 2020 blown 3-1 lead, 21,22, and 23 all ended in injuries. Yea I have 0 faith in this team doing anything next year. If I was them I’d try one more year and if that doesn’t work then I’m blowing it up

  5. Not just the Clippers, but this upcoming season could be last chance for CP3, Dynasty Warriors, LeBron, Jimmy Butler, Harden and Dame to win another ring

  6. For the people saying blow it up, what is the trade Market for PG? Kawhi's Market is probably nothing. The difference is PG's injuries have not been career threatening (meaning they have not and have no precedent for causing future injuries) Kawhi knee problems are literally the cause of most what if player's short careers I.E. Brandon Roy, Lonzo Ball, Greg Oden. Buy low Sell high. Since there is no market they will do what most owners do. Put a competitive team on the Hardwood to sell tickets and try to not go over the luxury tax.

  7. I live right down the street from the Clippers office and practice facility in Playa Vista (that they have to rent from Donald Sterling), and the best thing to do, in my opinion, is trade George & Leonard if they can for players that will play, not sulk and not play. They should get a few draft picks, try and see what happens.

  8. If I was the gm I would trade kawhi and PG and start rebuilding

However the fo won't do it because of the new stadium

Even if we get out in 2nd round, I don't think the fo would trade Kawhi and PG.

If we run it back am 100% sure that kawhi or PG one of them will get injured

In order to win the championship u need to have luck
Clippers will never have luck on their side

  9. Eat the medicine. Blow up the time. Trade KL and PG and RW for anything you can get. Build threw the draft. When they are good enough to get another all-star in couple of years.

  10. They need to just cut their loses, try and find some kind of value with trading pg or kawaii and possibly adding 1sts. To move onto something for the future.

  11. I don't think it's that bad. The new CBA will make it so that players who want max contracts will have to find teams with space. Even if the Clippers bottom out for just a year they will be able to attract someone who wants to get max money or close to it that's on a team that can't pay them.

It'll suck, but not for as long as people make it seem.

  12. I wouldn’t try, I’d trade PG and Kawhi for expiring contracts and picks, or one really exciting young player to market around (Austin Reaves or Tyrese Maxey). Sneak below the luxury tax to make up for lost ticket sales, and wait for salary cap to attract big free agents.

  13. I really hope we will see Kawhi never again after this contract.
I'm so tired and sick of the what if Kawhi actually can play, the Team is directly an contender. He can not, his knees are broken, he should not be allowed to earn any money for Sports. Case Closed. 🤮

  14. They need a postseason worth of health from Kawhi and Paul George… Meanwhile Kawhi's knee – 2 postseason games worth of health.

  15. Bringing back Westbrook might actually save them, at least in the regular season. He has shown that he can still keep them afloat, assuming his production remains similar to the 22-23 playoffs. That will lead to some wins in the regular season and he's generally durable in comparison to the other 2.

  16. I hate that kawaii left san antonio. But i do still enjoy the fuck out of seeing him winning. Hell PG too. Is russell on the clippers? And what allhappen to john wall, i dont et why he wasnt good on tge clippers.

  17. What they should do depends on what they are offered. Barrett+Fournier+4 good picks for George? Simmons + the 4 Phoenix picks? KAT? Lots of teams could use PG and have trade packages that could make sense. But if it’s Simmons plus one pick, then no. You roll the dice a for another year and hope by not getting a new contract it helps spark their desire to play more than 40 games.

  18. Gotta run it back !! If it doesn’t work well refuel retool and continue to bring in young future stars. We’ve got some young studs now. best scenario for this team is for Leonard and George to take the season games serious to a point where they’re bodies get in shape for the post season. Then they can take a break and rest toward the end of the season because they will have a better record!!! Now. They’re in shape-rested and ready and the young guys can really learn how to win and vibe with these dudes!!

  19. Theyre healthy in the bubble though and the "they didnt wanna be there" that you're saying is a cheap excuse probably everyone in the bubble dont wanna be there so it's an even field

  20. The clippers can't even fall under the "if healthy" category because they've shown for years they have no ability to do this

  21. Trade the 2 away. Try to rebuild before the ship has totally sunken. The Clippers have shown to be a decent rebuilding organization previously.

  22. If I was Steve Ballmer, I would blow it up and try to prepare for what the team looks like when they open the new arena. If that's Maxey and Mann, then it's Maxey and Mann. You cannot rely on PG and Kawhi to be healthy going forward. Get what you can for them now. Their value is only going to go down from here.

  23. Kawhi load managed all season, missing the 2nd half of games on purpose, came into the playoffs healthy, and played 2 games before his body gave out again. It's over

  24. The fact that some people think the clippers shouldn’t give him a 5 year max contract is insane, the raptors would trade everything on the roster except Scottie to have him back

  25. No.
    They need to rebuild NOW.
trading both PG and KL with this season left and if they can get them to sign an extension with the trade, would dramatically increase their value and desirability.

  26. Lakers were the best team prior to the bubble. 1st in the west, 1st in defense and just beat both the clippers and bucks on the same weekend. We need to stop giving other teams slack for the “bubble” lakers were gonna win regardless

  27. Bro bro i would trade both of them for just picks and young players like even if it’s underpay fuck it
