Zu, Kawhi, PG, and Mann on the floor gives The Clippers a very nice blend of offense and defense.
Nothing against Morris Sr, Batum, or Covington, but Kawhi would give The Clippers better minutes at the position and T Mann is a terrific all around player on both ends.
If they are committed to Zu at the 5, there are really only two paths.
Either play small around Zu with Kawhi, PG, Mann, and Russ or trading for a longer, more athletic, defensive minded power forward, ala Jared Vanderbilt or Chris Boucher…..with Mann running with the younger, athletic reserve unit.
I do like that Bones, Mann, Powell, Martin, Plumlee potential as a reserve unit but as the roster is currently constructed, i think it's best to play the 5 best Clippers together.
