[Medina] It seems inevitable the Toronto Raptors will deal Siakam. …They expect a strong deal for return in the form of quality rotation players, expiring contracts and draft picks, all qualities that help accelerate a rebuild.

> Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “It seems inevitable the Toronto Raptors will deal Siakam. It’s become increasingly clear the Raptors are not currently constructed to become a serious playoff threat. So what’s the point in running on empty calories just to finish in the middle of the standings?”

> “It seems unpredictable, however, on when the Raptors trade Siakam. They expect a strong deal for return in the form of quality rotation players, expiring contracts and draft picks, all qualities that help accelerate a rebuild.”

> The former NBA Most Improved Player award winner in 2019 has reportedly drawn interest from the likes of the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks in the past, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

> It is also believed that the Orlando Magic may be a team to watch, as they are also reportedly interested in acquiring the two-time All-Star’s services.

  1. Raptors could find themselves in a similar situation to Portland and Dame, where the star player tanks their value and makes it hard to move them. Or maybe Portland was a uniquely bad fit for Siakam and he’s more willing to extend with other teams.

  2. It would be beautiful for the pistons to make this trade, give the raptors 3 first round picks and Isaiah Stewart. Seems fair to me. What say you, raptors fans?

Orlando would be interesting as I think they have the assets if they center a deal around Suggs but how would Panchero and Siakam fit together?

Please just give us the #7 pick this year.

I kinda moved off the whole Siakam idea if its gonna cost any combination of Jalen Johnson-AJ Griffin-Onyeka Okongwu. I always thought the Bufkin/Hunter/Capela package made sense for the Hawks, but idk if the Raptors are desperate enough to accept that.

I remember reading that Ringer article advocating for a Scottie Barnes/Dame trade. I still kind of like it tbh

Droppingdimes20 did mention Siakam to ATL

  8. compe_anansi

Toronto will overvalue him and he will walk for nothing.

Minnesota screwed alot of players. Every team thinks they can get that haul now

it all hinges on Siakam’s willingness to extend.

Problem is that Siakam killed a lot of his trade value by refusing to sign an extension elsewhere.

And you can’t trade an All-Star in his prime for scraps and late picks, you’d expect at least one valuable piece or two.

Siakam for CP3, Kuminga, Pokuzemski and a buttload of picks. (Warriors)

Siakam for Harris, Reed, Melton and a buttload of picks. (Sixers)

Siakam for MPJ, Braun, and a buttload of picks (Nuggets)

I wonder if a trade for Dejounte Murray would make sense. He’s locked up for several years now

  14. Madterps2021

Would they want a few 2nd round picks? I know a team that has a few.

  15. milogee

Will they take Herro, Lowry and some draft picks?

There’s no point in forcing a trade to give away Siakam on the cheap when the Raptors don’t hold their own pick this year. He’ll get an extension and the Raptors will play out the season, looking to trade Siakam if/when the right haul becomes available. If it doesn’t then we all get to watch some fun low-stakes basketball as our young players develop. If it does — the Raptors are positioned for the future.

Sounds exactly what they got in return for carter…

  18. not the magic please thank you

I think the Hawks are an interesting fit, pacers would be kind of wasteful kf resources I feel

more likely the team is just middling bad while he stays next season tbh

Masai Uriji is worse to negotiate with than Tottenham’s owner

  20. Benjaminbuttcrack

Can we interest you in a prime jon isaac?

  21. trapHerm

I could see Ujiri fucking this up , got nothing for FVV

If Pascal stays in Toronto, he is going to be chucking it all over the place to pad his stats for that All Nba and get his Supermax. Might be tough though, as Nurse is gone and Pascal might not get as much garbage time stat padding in meaningless time against bums. Games played restrictions will likely help him though.

all hinges on Siakam’s willingness to extend.
