The Raptors Have To Make A HUGE Decision With This Trade..

The details about the Atlanta Hawks’ trade offer for Pascal Siakam have finally been revealed by Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Toronto Raptors are now facing a huge decision regarding what to do with their star player as it is unclear whether or not they can get a better offer elsewhere.

Speculation has been ongoing throughout the summer in regards to Spicy P’s future as many NBA analysts believe the trade is only a matter of time. Masai Ujiri has but himself in an awful position, and this might be the decision that makes or breaks this era of Toronto Raptors basketball.

  1. Masai is gonna run our team into the worst situation in the modern nba. Prepare to always be anxious and confused about this team for a while now.

  2. How does handicapping yourself to a terrible, huge contract seem like a better move than acquiring young pieces that collectively won’t even cost as much as pascal on a new deal?

  3. You're not getting a bigger offer for Pascal because teams consider him a rental who won't commit to another team long-term….add Bufkin and I accept the trade.

  4. He’s not getting a super max. I ain’t paying a guy a super max only to lose in play in tournament. Hell no.

  5. I would’ve taken it. Hunter is a decent SF and Griffin has great potential and can be developed even more buy Darko. Masai needs to stop being hard headed. Just give us Hunter, Griffin and Okungwo and we’re good no need for draft picks. We can get picks when we trade OG.

  6. Whats going to happen if pascal signs 47.5 million contract per year, we would have to waive players like Thad & Flynn to make salary cap space for him & the other guys.

  7. Watch Siakiam cause problems this season buy being selfish and playing iso ball and stat padding. Siakiam saw what Vanvleet did and Darko won’t allow it. Masai is creating a big problem here. Trade Siakiam enough is enough.

  8. I would take this trade, because they won't get better. Siakim is as good now as he's ever going to be, he's a tier 2 star in the NBA, a very good supporting piece on a team with a real superstar. And the Raptors are either going to have to sign him to a max deal or if he has a great season, a supermax deal. that will cripple the Raptors for years and Siakim isn't going to bring them to the promised land. Like I said, Siakim is not going to get better so that's just bad value. The other teams in the NBA know this and that's why he's not getting big offers, that and him saying he won't resign anywhere they trade him. That didn't help. Raptors can't sign everyone next summer, one of either Siakim or Anunoby has to go, given that choice, I feel Siakim should be the one leaving and if the Raptors want to avoid seeing another free agent walk away for nothing in return next summer, they'd better start lowering their trade expectations.

  9. I would do it. If the trade is deandre hunter, aj griffin and 2 first round picks I would do it. Hunter was a top 10 pick. Griffin should have been a top 10 pick, and would be in a redraft. I would push to add bufkin in the deal. But if you can’t get it. Maybe remove a first round pick, add bufkin and one second round pick. Don’t be greedy. We can’t keep everyone anyways. It’s impossible money wise

  10. Can another team sign free agent Siakam for more than 4 years $192million? If no, then Masai is in a great position. Siakam goes off for an all NBA season and gets the supermax the Raptors obviously have a great player on their team . Seems like a win-win.
