Hard to blame him that Phoenix team has KD Booker Beal ayton.. I won’t hold that quote against him.

  2. I mean the suns basically said they’re not playing him with this move so he should feel lucky he got moved.

I mean… it would suck to get traded from a team with championship aspirations…

You can’t blame him rejection is tough on any level. I’m sure it hurts they are trying to stack up to make a run and don’t want him. I’m sure it hurts his feelings he’s a dude just like everyone else. I’m a dude she’s a dude we’re all dudes hey. I won’t hold it against it him but I’d be lying if I didn’t feel it makes me worry a bit. Honestly I’d really like to give Wesley some more opportunities.

He knows he’s just trade fodder for us. Can’t blame him

  6. His reaction is understandable.I wouldn’t hold it against him. He’s a professional and hell do what he needs to do when it comes down to it.

I mean sure it makes sense he was playing for a title at least

I mean he could always be the next ex-suns player to help us to our next title, or the spurs send him somewhere again

Maybe he can ask the spurs to terminate his contract and sign with the suns for the minimum

You’re lying to yourself if you were a professional NBA player on a now rebuilding team if you didn’t want to go back to your homies with a solid chance at a ring.

I don’t think we cut him this summer because, as a decent 29yo backup PG on a 6M expiring deal, he would have more trade value than Birch, Doug, Graham and on par with Osman – but probably a 1% chance he is still on this roster after the trade deadline/buyout period.

I also don’t think anyone would disagree with them – almost any player would rather be on a contender in Phoenix, that should be a really fun team this year.

But it’s a bit odd for him to say that publicly. It seems similar to Iggy after his salary dump to Memphis. But if he is that keen to get to a contender, then he and his agent need to get on the phone and find a team willing to send us any kind of asset in a trade. It probably won’t take more than a 2nd round pick or two and we would happily move him on.
