  1. I remember when kawhi and PG joined the clippers and everybody thought they’d win the ring that year but none of it matters if their stars don’t play

  2. "If I knew he was going to be healthy…"
    Hahahahahaha

Look, I'm sorry, because it sucks and he's an amazing player, but he's made of glass. And not like, thick safety glass, but old-house glass that you can't look at wrong in cold weather without worrying. It's rough, but teams and fans just can't keep telling themselves they're going to get more than 40-50 real games from him.

  3. Tbh I don’t think this is the Clippers last chance, LAST year was the Clippers last chance, we saw the same thing again and again and again in the past few years, and I don’t see any reason to still they are good just cus they have the players doesn’t mean anything and they have proved that

  4. I pray on the Clippers downfall every year and Im looking forward to them failing AGAIN 😊

  5. The continuity thing is interesting with injured players, I kind of feel like if PG and Kawhi we're healthy they easily take the Suns and put up a decent fight against the nuggets

I only say this because the Lakers had a bunch of players out in players traded and we're able to make a Deep Run

  6. Another reason why you shouldn't listen to players when it comes to roster construction 💀

Like Kawhi should've known better, not push in all the chips in for PG, who's known to be injury prone. Not to say not to push for PG, but when Okc asked for their entire future like come on! Have some kind of limit 😭
If he was patient, they could've cashed in the lottery (Shai) for a huge package, but nah, they literally thought buying an old treasure map was a wise financial investment 😵

  7. Load management nonsense. How about reducing their pay everytime they don't want to play? How in the hell are these f'ers getting away with this?

  8. Clippers gotta upgrade the power forward position swing for the fences and try pascal for morris, bbj, Kobe brown and some picks and or get a pure pg that can shoot so you can counter balance Russ

  9. I don’t see it as a bad position. If they walk you free up cap space and start over. Yes no draft picks is tough but there’s going to be young talent next offseason they could sign and change direction. Add in morris batum Covington off the books that’s going to be huge. I personally would show the league both kawhi and PG are healthy play some games then trade them. Pull an Utah Jazz rebuild. Get some picks and young talents and rebuild

  10. According to Chris Hanes, the clippers And sixers are close to a deal involving Norman Powell, Marcus morris, Kobe brown, and two 2nd for James harden and pJ tucker

  11. I think my Lakers are in a similar situation. Luckily we already won a Championship. But we both have players that are Injury prone. Lebron a whole year older doubt he will play 60 games, AD is AD lol. Same with Kawhi and PG. Lets hope we are all healthy and just have a competitive Series

  12. Theoretically if PG is on the current OKC roster, they could have gone to Conference finals.

  13. Clippers will never be healthy; one of their players always gets injured, specifically superstars. All they can do is weather the storm, and the best way to do that is by making their role players the emphasis. There will be some games where Leonard, George and/or Westbrook are out to injury (read, any player with an All-Star appearance), forcing Lue to make due with lesser talent. In times where Clippers have no All-Stars to guide them, Mann must be their leader.

The last time Clippers had an ultimatum season, they responded well. After the worst 3-1 collapse in NBA history in the playoff bubble, Clippers were scrutinized and mocked for it, forcing them into an ultimatum: get out of 2nd round, or Leonard is gone. Being down 2-0 in every single playoff round punctuated the pressure, and had either Mavericks, Jazz or Suns gone up 3-0 vs. Clippers, they would have automatically lost the series as no team has ever come back from down 3-0 in playoff history. In an ironic twist, it was a player who figured out the Clipper's fear of being down 3-0 as motivating factor, not the team; and it was a former Clipper in Chris Paul, the very player who made the franchise relevant for the first time, ever. Talk about a cold serving dish of revenge.

Keep in mind, this upcoming season will be the last season Clippers play at Staples Center/Crypto Arena. Come the 2024-25 season, they're moving to the self-built Intuit Dome. A loss could mean entering the new building as a rebuilding team and perhaps more than the five years you suggested. I could see them needing a decade to get back up to speed in terms of assets to trade, talent to develop and a competitive pedigree. If the trade for Harden goes down, it will be seen as a last hurrah move, and an admittance that their Good Samaritan Spurs route is not working and will have to bite the bullet on a Fantastic Four.

  14. I wish this Clippers team stayed healthy long enough for everyone to see that they were always destined to be a perennial second round exit with the occasional conference finals run. But four years later, this Clippers era will be filed under "what if?" instead of "not quite."

  15. The Western Conference is gonna be tough this year, but even as a Nuggets fan, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Clippers win.
My favorite players are Kawhi and Westbrook, so there’s obviously that, but there’s also something special about seeing a team that’s never won it all – win it all.
Cavs, Raptors, and Nuggets in recent years. The Clippers would be nice, especially with PG and Russ both getting a ring finally.
It’s gonna be a rough road though, because the Suns, Warriors, Lakers, and obviously the Nuggets all look stacked this year, so only time will tell.
