  1. Please next time ask him when he played against the Knicks and beat them by himself when KD and Ky weren't playing and ask him what he feels about living in NYC if he enjoys living there.

  2. like all great things they're usually right
there in front of you. if JV doesn't liberate Cam in 22/24 Cam must liberate Can.

  3. Very good interview. I had been wondering where his head has been as when ever I see videos and discussions regarding the Nets, they do not mention Cam Thomas much. Looks like he is doing the best he can, controlling the things he can and see how it goes. Maybe just him or he is getting some very good advice from somewhere.

  4. SchuZ, you were definitely prepared for this interview! Thank you for that. You asked many questions, and it all flowed even though there were some turns in between his NBA, back to Oak Hill and LSU, then back to the NBA, then back to LSU and Oak Hill.

I'll say this is a great, not an excellent interview. Why? A little push-back every now and then would yield more insight. For example, he's yet to have the conversation with Vaughn about what Coach wants from him. Has he had that specific conversation during Year 2? Has anyone advocated for him to play, given the Nets' offense tanked after All-Star Break?

Just some encouragement and feedback from me. I'll share this with my basketball friends and folks on Twitter

  5. 25 pts a game expectation for Cam Thomas is COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC!! For a player that has score 40 pts on multiple occasions; particularly, 3 games in a row setting an NBA record in the process (if given a starting role in the rotation) that's setting the bar , statistically speaking, way below his REALISTIC expectations… I realize he wants to project himself as a humble guy, but anything below 35 pts or MORE for someone with his UNCANNY ability to score is simply UNREALISTIC.

Cam Thomas is ONLY 21 years old and will continue to improve his game. He hasn't even began to reach his peak yet. He will become not just a Superstar but a Mega Star for years to come.

Nonetheless, someone like his coach JV will 100% be detrimental to his career- for his OBSESSION with defense and ONLY defense proficiency. No team can win with only defense. A team needs a lot of scoring and rebounding. Hence, why the Sixers swept Brooklyn in the Play Offs. If JV does continues to bench Cam Thomas next Season for no justifiable reasons- Thomas should drop his meek hat and request a trade, period!! Enough is enough!!
