The New York Knicks have been looking to add key pieces this offseason but have still not found a replacement for the backup power forward position. However, according to a recent report, they could be waiting on a Western Conference team to make a move, potentially in a buyout with another player. Currently, Josh Hart and RJ Barrett are slated to play spot minutes at he 4 position but many would argue that having a true four backing up Randle makes more sense. Yes they do, they signed some young power forwards.
Such as Jacob Toppin. They signed a ex Spurs power forward.

Do people only pay attention to shooting? Bertans is a turnstile on defense. I rather see what a rookie like Jacob Toppin or any young player can do. Defense is one of the reasons Fournier didn't play and we talking about adding Bertans. 😂

This Knicks roster is so deep. Only thing missing is a legit backup PF. Josh Hart, Sims , I- Hart , etc can all play the position but they are not naturally power forwards. I honestly expect the Back up power forward minutes to be split between RJ Barrett and Josh Hart to start the season. Im not a fan of Josh Hart at the 4 but hey I guess he can play at that position..
