Ty Lue Says Russell Westbrook Is LA Clippers’ Leader

Recently, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas said that he had a conversation with Ty Lue in which he said that Russell Westbrook is the leader of the team, and that LA Clippers didn’t have a leader.

What does that say about Kawhi Leonard and Paul George? Are they not leaders?

In this episode, die hard, Los Angeles Clippers fan and Host Darian Vaziri talks about what Ty Lue’s statement indicates about the Clippers leadership. He breaks down Russ’ leadership style, what being a leader really means in NBA terms, and looks at the leadership of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

  1. After seeing the brutal schedule the Clippers have in the upcoming season, i am even more appreciative of Russ and how he gives it his all every night and yes, Russ has always been a leader and every team needs such a person. Now, we need the front office and Ty to also lead and that starts with getting rid of Morris; with the brutal schedule, you will need youth and Morris, Batum and Roco just doesn't do it for the Clips; they have to swap these guys out for guys who will actually help the team out, Russ can be a leader all he wants, if the team doesn't have the necessary talent, who is he leading?

  2. If Morris gets the minutes he did last year it's a lost season already. At this point I would give him away for free.
