Isiah Thomas on MJ: “Every time you hit him he was crying, ‘Arghhh muhfugga hit me!’, going to David Stern’s office [saying] you gotta change the rules… I watched Dr. J get beat up, I watched Magic get beat up, I got beat up, everybody got beat up but we gotta change the rules cause of him?”

Zeke would know all about inappropriate contact now, wouldn’t ya Zeke?

  2. rabid89

MJ living rent free in Zeke’s head for like 40 years lmfao.

  3. BagelBites619

If it was anyone other than him saying this, It’d probably be more believable lol

  4. lugubrea

This dude had to pay $11.6m in damages because of sexual harassment. And to this day he goes around acting like he did nothing wrong.

  5. vrkhfkb

He’s right. The NBA introduced the flagrant foul rule in ‘91 to stop the Pistons from potentially murdering Jordan on the court. They also got rid of hand checking in ‘04 after Pistons bullied Kobe.

pistons are always causing rule changes for some reason. 😂

  6. FantasyTwistedDark

“Arghhh mufugga hit me” made me laugh.

  7. aligreaper19

instead of making teams like lebron, mj goes even further and just changes the rules

  8. MrAppleSpoink

Isiah’s an asshole, but he’s right on this one. They literally introduced the flagrant foul to protect Jordan.

  9. rosecityreds84

Jesus man it’s been 30+ years. Let it go

  10. Balls_of_Adamanthium

Zeke, please let it go. You’re too old for this shit.

  11. CrissCrossAppleSos

Always fun to see that the subjects of “back when I was watching as a kid” do the “back when I was watching as a kid” thing.

    Time is a flat circle

  12. whateverqcvgtxbny

    This beef is generational lmao

  13. histprofdave

I love that this beef just refuses to die.

  14. Can you imagine still beefing with someone from your career 40 years ago

  15. YoHoochIsCrazy

it kind of reminds me of the way English soccer evolved into the 2010s. Skilled players would just get hacked to pieces, but when they started to protect players more, the game took a huge step forward.

That’s an oversimplification of course, but these are the steps that leagues take when they want their product to improve. People don’t want to watch players get hacked on every possession, they want to watch man fly.

I grew up watching pistons bully the fuck out of bulls. Lots of elbowing & bloody noses

  17. oldasshit

And this is why you didn’t get to play on the Dream Team, Zeke.

  18. LavenderAutist

Every four years Isiah is reminded that he didn’t get to play on the Dream Team. And instead some random college guy named Christian took his spot.

  19. kinzer13

Let it fucking go. Sorry bro, they wouldn’t let you win by disabling the best player on the opposing team.

  20. bobswowaccount

As I recall a couple organizations had to change their rules because of Isaiah.

  21. itsmydoncic

by calling their strategy “the jordan rules”, as if it was so special, all the pistons did was attract extra attention to themselves and their tactics

  22. Count_Gator

And the league grew to a multi-billion dollar empire because of it, Zeke.

You had a good career, but nobody liked the Bad Boys and how they played.

  23. PlayBey0nd87

So when they couldn’t maul anyone anymore, they didn’t know how to win all of a sudden? They beat MJ. MJ finally got his W and ran from there and that was it. Bro should’ve just focused on being a good Exec, speaking of his accomplishments, and do a good job with being a shadow advisor.

  24. OttaBenga

    > I watched Dr. J get beat up, I watched Magic get beat up, I got beat up, everybody got beat up

why the fuck people think thats normal

its a sport with a ball not fucking wrestling

  25. ShesMovedOnMan

I love a good Player Hater and IT is a fucking genuine Player Hater. He’s gonna be that dude from the meme at the dudes funeral checking if he’s dead when Michael dies.

  26. mesnupps

You know what’s weird. Jordan has no problem with many of the pistons from that era. Rodman famously played with Jordan. John Salley and James Edwards were also on those Pistons and eventually played with Jordan on the Bulls.

I’ve never even heard Jordan say anything too horrible about bill laimbeer.

But Isaiah Thomas. Is like mad beef.

  27. ZaMaestroMan5

This dude comes off as so petty and jealous over MJ.

  28. Carne_Asada_Friez

That’s weird because LeBron haters told me MJ never complained or flopped once in his life

  29. TreDawg36

MJ lives rent free in Isiah’s head. 😂😂😂😂😂

  30. banjo46

How dare you not allow us to beat up the best players on the other team… i thought this was America!

  31. Its weird he says that when its always him crying about mj to the media
