Towards the end of the Raptors segment there’s an interesting discussion about the lack of “Raptors culture” last season and how the front office needs to be involved more in the overall team dynamics.

How common is it that general managers and presidents are NEEDED to come in and manage the team directly

Masai and Dwane Casey laid the foundation for the culture only for it to start to erode not long after Tampa when it was obvious that the front office and Nick Nurse just weren’t on the same page, and Kyle went to Miami.
Hopefully Darko is able to bring some of that magic back, but the roster makeup just…. Kind of sucks right now. Having vets like Garrett Temple and Thad only accomplishes so much when they’re both not that good and will barely see any playing time, and Schroder isn’t going to be with the team long term.
