Hey Wes do you understand spacing? Rockets had 0 spacing. Worst 3 shooting team in the NBA. How was Jalen going to drive without space? Huh? Just say you don't watch games. You're just running your mouth.
Luka's rookie season they traded away major pieces for KP who didn't play and stripped down the roster for other future minded moves so you cant hold that record against him. The next two years were both weird shortened seasons, but they finished 11 and 12 games over .500. Then they had a really good season and last year turned into a disaster, but 55 of their games were clutch games and they lost 12 games by 3 or less points. To say they have consistently barely been better than .500 through Luka's tenure is inaccurate. They have been a consistent winning team with last seadon being an outlier after they made the mistake of letting their second best player walk and getting nothing in return.

For the divisions after expansion (assuming Seattle, and Las Vegas), I'd try to take this opportunity to reduce travel:
The Pacific – The Cali teams, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Utah (SLC is marginally less west than Phoenix but lies in the middle North/South of the rest)
The new Big 12 – The Texas teams, OKC, NO, Memphis, Denver, Phoenix (travel still sucks but preferable to the current NW division)
The Atlantic – Boston, NYK, Brooklyn, Philly, Washington, Charlotte, Miami, Orlando (lotta N/S travel but gotta add SOME travel for these teams to make it a little fair to the rest)
The Great Lakes plus One – Minnesota, Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Indy, Cleveland, Toronto…..annnnd Atlanta (a weird one but who would you take from the Atlantic to make it work otherwise).
Also remember if 2 expansion teams are added to the West, you only get to move 1 team to the East. Moving 2 just means you effectively kept the West the same and added 2 expansion teams to the East, just not the ACTUAL expansion teams.
Dumb take that Dallas would even CONSIDER trading Kai for DLo, Rui, and a first. I'm sure the Lakers would love that, but Dallas isn't bending over to satisfy LA.
