If there is a paper trail this is going to be a hard one to refute.

We’ll see how things play off. This usually takes months.

Super interesting that MSG would contact the Raptors about the incident, but not mention that they were going to take legal action.

Weā€™ll see how all the facts play out but it seems extremely possible this was one stupid employee trying to blame the Raptors for their theft instead of being solely accountable.

Reminder that NBA reporters are not legal reporters. Itā€™s all speculation until more information comes to light.

If there is a paper trail, this is bad. Hopefully it wonā€™t cost a draft pick.

Itā€™s best to make Darko the scapegoat and give Jordy a call.

MSG wouldn’t be filing a suit without anything to back it up. Teams compete but the ownership groups are typically quite cordial (they make billions together).

There’s a lot of this to shake out, but MSG wouldn’t have made this stark of an accusation against a partner organisation without airtight evidence of wrongdoing. This guy is fucked and will never work in the NBA again. More heads could roll based on how far this goes up but no point in speculating.

Edit – Quote from recently published Athletic piece =

“The Knicks allege that not only did Rajaković know about what was occurring but that he ā€œrecruited and usedā€ the then-Knicks employee”

If this gets proven emphatically Darko is done and Masai might have to resign even if he had no direct involvement in this.

Sounds like Connor’s funeral speech in Succession

I bet this turns into nothing except that one assistant getting fired, and Darko carries on coaching the team without giving it a second thought.

Raptors should sue Philadelphia if Nick Nurse runs a box and 1 this season on the grounds of IP theft.

Dolan is just mad Masai tricked him into trading for bargnani, and then tricked him again into not trading for Kyle

Files? We need their good players not trade secrets.

Hey Knicks! I know you’re looking for an excuse for when you lose to the Raptors but this is going a little far don’t ya think? /s

Weā€™re actually fucked here. I donā€™t think most people are seeing what a big deal this is

What proprietary stuff does the Knicks have? It’s a franchise that’s been good on paper when the season starts and then ends in a disappointment at the end of the season.

This could be very bad for Rajaković if he’s involved, he could lose his job over it…not a good look at all and the league is going to come down hard on anyone involved if this is true…

    Not good guys…
