First of all, no GM or executive should ever make a PROMISE per se… they can say I WILL TRY MY BERY BEST BUT NO GUARANTEES but Harden and anyone with common sense would no there is no guarantee !!! And it's mighty naive on both parties to think otherwise!!! Now, if he "promised" to trade him but did not do any due diligence w/ any trade talks at all with any other GMs then Harden has a point but if he did give it his best but nothing even close to reasonable was found then there is no way Daryl could've fulfilled his "promise" and if Harden expected that then he's worst than a 3 yr old!!!

I think Morey really promised him a contract but a trade is the way to not get in trouble. Because Harden was mad as soon as he opted in remember.
I just want to point out, a fact not an opinion, but Harden declined a max extension in Houston to be traded to Brooklyn and declined another max contract extension to be traded to Philly with Morey. Harden then took less money which coincidently freed up cap space to sign his friends, so if you look at the factual sequence of events…a promise from Morey to Harden that he would give him a payday makes the most sense. Like the only thing that makes sense.

Dude, Harden was done with the Sixers in Game 6 of the Semis last year.
What somebody is worth is subjective to each situation, like I do not believe Draymond Green is worth his contract he would be ass on most teams, but Harden considering our other options along with the chemistry he built with Embiid was clearly worth at least a 4-year max imo. He likely would have taken less been around the same contract as Kyrie.
Because fans keep talking about their feelings, but Embiid the entire time he has been here has only publicly asked for one thing and that was Harden back. That would be enough for me.
Philly isn't a free agent destination. We have to improve via the draft or trade. Sixers need a GM who can create a winning culture. Need to get rid of Harden, Morey, PJ and Harrell.
I believe Embiid will wait til he's a free agent, then do a sign and trade if the Sixers haven't gotten it done by then.
