NBA announcing in a press release: “Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for public comments on August 14 and 17 indicating that that he would not perform the services called for under his player contract unless confirmed that these comments referenced Harden’s belief that the 76ers would not accommodate his request to be traded.”

76ers rumors have been hanging in the air after James Harden called Daryl Morey a liar. Some thought that Harden said that because Morey pulled back on a handshake deal that he was going to give Harden a contract extension. NBA found no evidence of that and James Harden said it was because Morey told him he would trade him, but then the Sixers plans changed in wanting to bring Harden back.

Harden is fed up with the Sixers, but if you think about it, shouldn’t he be annoyed with the Clippers? They’re the team that hasn’t offered the Sixers a quality deal to bring in Harden. Are they desperate to have him? Clearly not.
It’s also crazy how Morey is the ONE guy who’s always had Harden’s back and Harden is severing that relationship.

Good! I'm fine with him for getting fined. I am so sick and tired of hearing about this dude. I wish he never played in a Sixer uniform!
With all the opinions actions speak louder than words….if the NBA fines Harden that says Harden was in the wrong…….now i think we have enough young talent to trade him for draft picks
James Harden will getting fine to continuing not playing when he is playing in a 76ers team and pentazlied to be a concern of basketball operations and opt in on his contract to taking control of a contract extension to be traded if he is there on a Clippers team!
If James harden is not traded before camp , 1,000 % sixers not making playoffs. Harden goal is to make sure sixers don’t make the playoffs so embiid can ask out next summer
