[Elhassan] It’s not a question of nobody wanting Tyler Herro: There’s a landing spot for Tyler Herro. That part has been taken care of.

>What I get from what’s happening is it’s not “No one wants Tyler Herro.” It’s “Portland is asking for more.”

>They [Miami] have a landing spot for Tyler Herro somewhere, they’ve got the other pieces that they’re offering. Portland is looking for more. Now, whether that’s more picks or more players, I don’t know.

>But it’s not a question of nobody wanting Tyler Herro: There’s a landing spot for Tyler Herro. That part has been taken care of.

This is actually news for once

  3. mMounirM

Herro and Gradey on the same team. this gon be good

  4. OguguasVeryOwn

Beginning to wonder if Portland just doesn’t want to send Dame to his desired destination.

Heat: Hey third team if we give you Herro for salary filler, will you do this trade?

    Third team: Sure

Portland: We don’t want random salary filler

  6. Ok where is it? If they are so sure it’s been taken care of, surely they’d have heard a name

  7. ImTheBestNerd

Spurs or Toronto would be my guess

Can’t wait for dame to get sent to Detroit

portland faking trade negotiations and just keeping dame to get knocked out in the play-ins 🔜

Sure but the question is what’s the asset(s) being sent in return.

Is it a lottery protected Spurs pick five years out? Is it an unprotected 2024 pick from a team that’s made the playoffs all but one of the past several years?

People say “first round pick” like those are all equal value but they’re not. A Miami Heat (or Celtics or Nuggets or whoever) unprotected 2024 pick is closer to the value of a 2nd rounder than it is to a Wizards unprotected 2024 pick.

Dame isn’t going to Miami. It’s easier to accept that and move on.

this seems like grasping for straws reporting on a dead trade. I feel like we all kind of already knew this implicitly. its just that the blazers don’t want him and that he can’t be the centerpiece of the deal for dame.

if anything happens here it will be like KD last year at the deadline not this summer. But also the Heat just don’t have the assets the suns did for KD. I just don’t see it happening unless things get ugly.

There’s 10 teams in the league that would love to add Herro, He’s never been the problem. The problem is that MIA can’t convince Portland to eat Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson as the salary filler, and Miami can’t trade them for anything useful. Lowry is a PG, is nearly washed, and will want a buyout if traded; Robinson is one of the most overpaid players in the league and has three seasons left on his contract.

I wouldn’t be surprised if OKC is taking Herro in exchange for that 25 pick MIA needs (plus a little more). But not Jaylin Williams, so Portland doesn’t really care.

Portland wants a young big and picks. Miami can’t deliver that (unless they put Bam on the table, which they aren’t going to do) with their remaining assets. Stalemate.

Who says nobody wants Herro? Thats just dumb. I dont think theres a team in the league that wouldnt want Herro

  15. TheMightyJD

We actually knew this but nephews on this sub have been spitting out that “no one wants Tyler” non-sense because don’t want Miami to get Dame.

Right now, Portland doesn’t want to trade Dame to Miami no matter what and that’s what it is causing this deadlock.

  16. LavenderAutist

The Portland GM is betting his career on being dumb

Dame is a depreciating asset that could get injured at any point and as the season progresses another star could become available to the Heat

  17. Bunny_Whaler

Of course it’s “Portland is asking for more”. And it’s not that there isn’t a landing spot for Herro, it’s that he’s a negative asset with his current contract, and Miami is essentially salary dumping him in order to bring Dame in.

Herro is not the centerpiece of any trade to bring in an All-NBA player.

  18. I love amin but being part of the lebatard show basically makes him a voice for Riley and the heat. Of course someone would want herro but for what?

  19. ClutchGamingGuy

Miami doesn’t have the components necessary to make a Dame trade happen. It’s that simple. Move the fuck on.
