Just thought this deserved some love, especially given growing appreciation for the WNBA on this subreddit. Absolutely my MVP this season, although as an Aces fan, I admit to being horrendously biased.

Not a WNBA expert, but I think this season shows that hardcore NBA fans are wrong for thinking “parity is good for the league” from a general attention or ratings perspective. A lot of casual fans only tune in to watch unfamiliar sports when there are superstars or super teams (like the Aces in the WNBA apparently). The Aces are bringing attention to the league in a world where parity would not.

I went to the Aces/Liberty game last week and it was the best basketball game I’ve ever went to. It was like a closeout playoff game.
It’s been a really good WNBA season, I like watching dominant teams so I get my fix there
