  1. I love how nick used career comparisons to prove Magic is greater but ignores them when it comes to MJ and Bron. Magic is greater than Curry by the way

  2. You'll see another Steph than Magic…uh…Grant Hill, Penny H, LeBron James, Giannis, Jokic, I'm pretty sure you'll find a bigger passer than an effective and efficient shooter like Steph.

  3. Id take magic , 20 a game and 10 assists and the defense . His achievement in 12 yrs is as better the 95 percent of nba careers at 20 yrs . 5 titles is better then 4 3 mvps are better then 2 3 finals mvps are better then 1 .

  4. Voted on awards means very little to nothing IMO. The skill level that steph has maybe unmatched by anyone.

  5. I'm glAd he sAid this so we cAn All put the lebronze thing into proper perspectives. since mAgic is wAY better thAn steph And steph is ArguAblY on lebronze level And mj is better thAn mAgic …… You do the mAth😅

  6. When Magic got there Jamal Wilkes was WASHED. You can’t say the KD/Steph Warriors is one of the top 3 teams all time and in the same breathe say Magic had way more help. Magic is the greatest point guard ever but Steph is a respectable #2 and easily the greatest point guard of this generation

  7. Basketball needs to be separated in 2 different categories when talking about these things, era for era greatest or greatest of all time. Era for era best pg is magic. All time best is Steph. If you put Steph on a team back then they burn him alive on a stake for being a wizard. Modern players are always going to be better than past players when talking about peak athletes. That’s the way it will always be.

  8. Dont 4 get
    Penny Hardaway
    Grant hill
    Steve smith
    Walt williams
    Lebron james
    Ben simmons

  9. These guys are jokes, I know it’s opinion based Steph didn’t make the Warriors a dynasty they weren’t a dynasty until they got KD, they went to back to back Championships won 1 lost 1 not a dynasty got KD went to 3 Straight finals, won 2 lost 1 when KD got hurt, so Steph without KD was 1-2 in the finals the 1 that they won no Kyrie or Kevin Love yes they won another 1 without KD why is that greater than Isaiah Thomas going to 3 straight winning 2 losing 1, so if MJ joined the Bad Boy Pistons should that elevate Isaiah? Slow your roll on this Steph hype KD is a better player you put KD on any team they immediately become a playoff team you can’t say that about Steph, I put Dame on GS I think GS could win a chip, you put Steph on Portland he would be Dame get it?

  10. Lol better than magic???? Gtfoh. Hes a better 3 point shooter. That's it. Steph can't do shyt else but shoot.

  11. Listen to lightskinned taking up for steph. Lol. Cmon Chris you act like Steph was surrounded by trash or below avg. The 1st 2 chips the bench had 3 potential starters

  12. Steph is number one. Magic number two. Stockton number three. After that it’s debatable!

  13. Different eras when magic played the Pg wasn't the main guy to score back then it was the center now in today's NBA they want point guards to score and put up big numbers

  14. Steph isn’t a PG! He’s the best shooter ever! NOBODY WILL PASS MAGIC AS PG GOAT

  15. This what yal get for putting Lebron ahead of Magic after he won a single title. Then starting the whole "goat" conversation. All these dudes losing their minds now. Don't even count Steph as a true point guard, he's a shooting guard at PG height. Didn't have to handle the ball much and had some all time great shooters right beside him….. I love Steph but he ain't magic, that Lakers team wasn't winning anything before Magic came. Plus he carried them in the final his rookie season and won fmvp.

  16. It's not always about numbers and stats. Steph is easily more valuable as a PG than Magic in today's league.

  17. Stephisnt eh best pg.. magic zeke Oscar were true point guards who distributed the rock and played defense. Steph is a scorer in an era where he doesnt have to guard the others point guards. steph is a 2 guard in a point guard body just like Iverson. Steph also turns the ball over a lot.

  18. Technically magic is the better “all around player” if we take into account all attributes like rebounding shooting, passing, finishing, perimeter and interior Defense/ post defense, post scoring etc. In a 1v1 magic beats curry he’s 5 inches taller and is better all around because of it. But In 5v5 in the modern era we must add context the level in which curry shoots has the same value alone of multiple of magic Johnson’s attributes combined such as his post scoring and rebounding and shooting ability. Also they gap between some of attributes like their passing and defense isn’t night and day curry is a great-elite passer magic is elite generational passer. In 2022 curry was a great weak side defender. Good hash defender ok-good point of attack defender, a weak rim protecter but had active hands and was good at playing passing lanes. Magic was a good-ok point of attack defender he has good speed in lateral quickness for a wing but for a guard but it was mediocre leading to decent point of attack defense. Magic Johnson would gamble a lot in passing lanes and for on ball steals especially in the post. He didn’t offer verticality at the rim so he was an below average rim protector. Also the game was more condensed and modern concepts such as peel switching didn’t exist due to the archaic illegal defense rules. So taking things like hash defense and weakside defense are lesser factors compared to today. The modern game has teams who are smarter and more switchable due to the evolution of the game they will not allow a point gurad who can’t shoot well to take advantage of smaller gurads in the post. Especially if he’s only 6’8”( no shoes) 210 Ibs they will put a defensive wing on him like (Aaron Gordon Jaden mc Daniels, jarred Vanderbilt) and let him try to isolate a wing in the post. Once that doesn’t work magic will try to use a screen to get a switch like luke does but unlike luka, magic is poor 3pt shooter and an ok mid range shooter. That defender will happily give magic 3’s and contested mid range shoots just like rodman and the pistions in 1988 go back and watch the 1988 pistions vs lakers post szs. History would repeat its self with the right pieces constructed to stop magic ( teams with long defensive wings are some of the only ones making deep post szs runs for example the 2 best teams in the 2023 szs having Aaron Gordon, jarred Vanderbilt and rui hachimura combined) yes magic is the best all around player and will win in a 1v1 va curry. But the real question should be who has more value in a 5v5 setting in the modern era? Me? I’m taking curry unless the team construed around them is just horrible defensively.

  19. Steph is one of the greatest players ever.
Steph is a combo guard not a point. His impact is bigger than magic with kids because you can't teach vision. All the young kids step back to shoot because they're avoiding the contact. Most of them can't shoot. It's easier for the kids to step back and shoot the ball versus going by somebody. It's widely accepted today. If they brought back hand checking it would be much harder to shoot threes. What Magic does you can't teach. Look how many players step back in the NBA and shoot threes. It's much easier to do this. Especially with the soft defense.
Draymond Green is the backbone of that team. We all know who Draymond studied – Michigan State. Without Draymond they don't win. We all saw that. With Magic you could take players away and Magic would adjust his role. He would score more if he needed to he would rebound more if he needed to. Curry just scores. Nothing else. I would play Curry with Magic. You can't teach vision!

  20. To Nick's point, Jokic is getting closer to that best starting 5. He's not the best Center but if you're building the best fit for a team consisting of Jordan and Lebron, you cannot go wrong with Joker as your Center.

  21. Jokic had a 40pt triple double. We already see more bigs passing than 3pointers go in consistently. There's NEVER going to be another Stephen Curry
