Fitzy, I hate to disagree with you about the lavender and “our era Cats,” however after speaking with my….cough cough, 20’s aged kids, they have seen the power cat as the dominant emblem. We must face it, we are getting old brother.
I think a light gray colored wood for the base would've been really cool, keep everything else
Thank you for the shoutout Fitz. They played it safe, but safe worked.
KState needs to embrace their unique conservative nature…
10K, congrats Fitz.
I read that it was to be called Tex Winter court. Nothing.
Yeah they should of put grey, silver or lavender inside the 3 point arch, but kept the free throne paint zone the same.
Love the new court design. Lavender is not a Kstate color, just an accent color.
If they chose "The cradle of coaches court" as the name it would be the most whelming thing about it.
I like the design of the court. The court itself also looks cleaner and brighter.
I think all the TV cameras are going to like our new court. Much easier to focus on and less issues with colors.
FITZ! You have got to look at the "big picture"!!! Just think how the Lavender warm ups, and the Lavender home uniforms are going to POP on that whelming court! The court, the uniforms, Jerome doing the Wabash? It's almost hard to imagine the spectacle of it all. Oh, by the way, very nice lavender shirt.
The lavender polo is too 🔥 today Fitz
glad there's no lavender. i cannot stand the lavender.
Congrats on the 10k! A nice accomplishment in a few months! Could do the 3 point lane in lavender, hard to see that white on that lighter wood, LOL but I guess not. Volleyball got a new court as well. I would like to see the former coaching greats last names maybe behind the baskets, doesn't have to be real prominent but would be nice in showing some respect to where we've been and where we're going. And then they'll go and change the Big 12 logo 😉 so we'll see when that happens.
It would have been a nice touch to outline the outside of the court with a lavender line or the out of bounds line in lavender!?!
white 3pt line doesn't work well with how light the wood stain.
"Safe" aka boring…….I'm okay with it, but a little more bold (I don't know what the is) would have been nice. They did do the cursive Wildcats script, that's on lavender, so there's that.
Too bad MHK didn't get airport done on schedule. Cuz now for UCF game I have to fly into KC from DFW!!
It was a huge missed opportunity to do something great. Basic and safe is a good way to describe it. I was hoping for some amount of lavender as well.
I get the desire to have big and flashy, but the average fan and their wants and desires change on a dime. A clean, safe, and classic looking court is going to get many more miles than the new thing with lavender accents. I love the lavender, I have polos, tees, and pullovers in lavender, but it's a product of its time, and I don't know if it has the staying power that so many think it does. I would rather have the classic court, that we can get 5 or more years out of than one that we look at in 3 years and say, maybe it shouldn't have all that extra junk on there because it looks dated.
As Shakespeare said: "Much ado about nothing"
I do not like the lavender unis at all
I couldn't care less about the basketball court. It's the product on the court that matters to me. We could have the ugliest court in America, but if we're winning Big 12 championships, I'm good.
It's perfect
