He’ll be affordable cause we have his bird rights and the centre market is shit. No one is gonna pay a rim running centre who plays great defence a ton of money. We can 100% retain him.

As much as I love clax I’m not sure if we will retain him. If he wants a big payday to go along with Cam and Mikal it leaves very little for us to add to the roster. There’s also the Ben Simmons contract. So there’d be little flexibility moving forward.
Centers just aren’t worth paying most of the time unless you’re an Embiid or Jokic type level player. He’s going to need to make huge strides on the offensive end. I put very little stock into summer videos. Even a guy like Bam has an awesome mid range and can really pass well for a big. Clax might need to add both if he wants to get a huge deal.

Off-season videos are fake until proven otherwise. I just have a hard time seeing Clax all of a sudden shooting jumpers after 4 years of NEVER doing it.
I think realistically, he adds a little bit more off the dribble and maybe a little more of a floater game. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t foresee Clax having this huge offensive jump.
