Not sure if this is ever been posted, I searched but didn’t see it, this is the original broadcast of American Bandstand featuring Gino, go to 16:05 and watch from there during their segment with The Spinners’ “Rubberband Man“, The perfect song for those moves, enjoy

Probably not a good look, but I date to those times. I can remember *wanting* larger collar points; I actually wore a pair of platform Thom McAnns.

A couple of times I got inside Studio 54, and thought that, I don’t know, somehow my life “was going to be ok now” because, well, I got inside Studio 54 (which clearly meant i WaS a StAr).

I know, it’s both funny and sad. But the times were so naive and optimistic that even the most cynical shit from back then seems quaint now.

The Gino tradition is insanely perfect. That KG dug it … works on so many levels. And as sad as his premature death is, the tragedy just increases the feels.
