Rui has the potential to be a great, versatile defender. He’s built like Kawhi who is one of the best defenders ever. He won’t ever be Kawhi but he could be really good switching 3 through 5. The versatility on this squad is kind of insane. AD, Lebron, Rui, Vando and Prince can all switch multiple positions. Reaves can play 1 through 3 depending on matchups.

The Nuggets r the most annoying team ever mainly cuz of they coach and Ion know if i was the only one bothered by the fact there ring celebration looked so boring lol. Jokic legit looked like he didn’t give af about winning. I get he not from this country and basically plays just for dough but it takes the joy out of it imo. Even if Miami won it that woulda been more enjoyable to watch.

The embarrassing part is that no one disagreed that Rui did a great job on Jokic at first. But then the media took that story and fucking RAN with it 😭 that’s all anyone talked about for days after and I stg every media outlet was only spewing garbage about how the Lakers were in such a great position.
There were some overzealous Laker fans to go along with that of course but the media for made it gain waaaay too much traction. The comments under the r/nba version of this post was brutal

It wasn’t jokic that lost us the series, it was their role players and murray that killed us. Rui probably did the best job as anybody on defense against joker in the playoffs. Lack of execution down the stretch from bron, ad and our role players that lost us the series.

I think the key point here is to put someone capable of at least containing Jokic slightly 1-on-1 and let AD roam around the paint as a secondary defender to help out.
