It's not about access to Synergy, Raps very likely have a subscription and have their own analytics system…the 905 coach is a former engineer who designed their software.
Anyone can use Synergy…the reason why Azotam was forwarding his clips is almost certainly because of the metadata attached to those files.
Azotam would have collected clips while working w the Knicks and done some markup and commentary on the clips. He may have used it as supporting material to show the Raps what his scouting commentary looks like and he may have wanted to keep the library bc it represents years of his scouting work and is valuable as it would take a lot of time to replace all that work.
The problem is the Knicks will say that any work he did while under their employment belongs to them and he will not be allowed to take the library w him to another position
Coach Tim Roache would never make a mistake like that. This whole situation, is at best another clue to how much this organization lacks leadership at the top. With no direction coming from above, decisions are being made at the lower levels. I hope we don't end up losing picks because of this. Hopefully this will lead to the end of the Masai/Bobby era?
