Why Dennis Schröder Is The PERFECT FIT in Toronto!

Why Dennis Schröder Is The PERFECT FIT in Toronto!

You’ve heard the saying, “When one door closes, another one opens,” right? Well, after the Toronto Raptors experienced a somewhat painful goodbye to their beloved Fred VanVleet, they didn’t waste any time swinging open the door to Dennis Schröder. Ah, basketball, where teams move on from players faster than your friend swipes on a dating app. Anyway, it’s a little over a month since Toronto signed the German on a price-friendly two-year deal. I made a video explaining why I think the Raptors and Schröder are a perfect match and what fans can expect from this experienced and highly talented point guard.

  1. I followed his career from the start, he is sometimes inconsistent but this issue is not as big is it was 3 to 4 years ago, he matured a lot during these years, he didn't have the best stats last season but you have to keep in mind that he also had a different role playing alongside LBJ and AD, but he still was one of best clutch players also in this season. Regardless if is in the starting 5 or comes of the bench i think he gives the team an extra punch. I have high hopes that he will be a star @ the FIBA WC, he already is amongst the best scorers an also @ giving dimes to his Teammates.
That will give him another boost in motivating for the upcoming season.
Nice vid, you are the first CC covering his hiring with some knowledge about him and how he plays, major probs for that!👍💯

  2. Nice video but Schröder averaged 19 ppg while backing up Chris Paul not Westbrook. The Shai/CP3/Schröder lineups were awesome.

  3. lets be honest. no real raptors fan is sad about fred leaving. just sad that we got nothing for him as an asset because of a missed trade opportunity. looking forward to what shroeder can bring to the team

  4. 1. He played with CP3 in his 2nd OKC season, not Westbrook
    2. He never got that $84M offer, the offer he got was $31M for two years before the Lakers season. Right after his best season ever, declining this isn't a surprise

  5. Dennis is a great fit in Toronto. Fred V. is a better player but the drop-off in losing him, and gaining Dennis, isn't all that bad.
