Skal is a talented and versitile offensive player. He can hit shots from deep, mid and in the paint. He's decent rebounder. He's athletic and mobile for a big man. Skal's problem was a lack of aggressiveness and confidence as a younger player. But if you watch him play you'll see a talented scorer with plenty of positives. His injuries derailed his career. If Skal has matured and plays with agressivness, toughness and confidence. He should have a place in the NBA as a player coming off the bench and contributing with a diverse offensive game and decent rebounding. If Skal's defense and shot blocking have improved that would be great too. Skal is only 27, a good person/teamate, coachable with a love for the game. Plenty of reasons why Monte McNair took a high upside, low risk opportunity and signed him.
