The league has moved away from being competition to becoming controlled entertainment. It is not scripted like the WWE, but the outcomes can easily be dictated or skewed by officiating. With gambling now irrevocably intertwined with sports, it will only get worse and more blatant. This season was probably the least enjoyable for me, and, because of this, the second round loss was not even the biggest reason why.
