In football, a club isn't really a "World Cup" champion just because they won UEFA Champions League (UCL). For Americans that don't understand, UEFA Champions League is like the highest rank of competition in Europe where the rank 1-4 best club in their regional competition beat each other to become the champions of Europe. They then have to play in Club World Cup to be a literal World Champion. And European club have players from every country on earth. Every best South Americans, Africans, and Asians player plays in Europe.
Mind that not every team who's a UCL winner always win Club World Cup. Some South Americans team like Santos or Boca Juniors are really as strong as European team.
The best players of the world play in the NBA, so yeah the NBA champs are the Champs of the World cause the best players of the world are competing in the same league, DUMMY!
