Lakers need a center but Lakers Nation keeps seeing centers getting picked up by other teams. Lakers News of a center would be great but nothing seems to be around the corner. are the lakers waiting for camp?

  1. I’m not trippin over a center they’ll pop up all season lol these bigs get cut religiously and don’t really get picked up that fast so if they want a big they’ll go get one without a problem. I can care less for wood either…castleton can get some run until we feel like we need a vet big

  2. C.Wood or Meyers Leonard spread the floor with 3-pointers and either Biyambo or Castleton which are traditional Centers to non-full contracts. See who sticks with the team and drop the other center, get a better player in trade. Lakers have 14 and 15 spot STILL.

  3. I'm telling you Lakers brass patiently waiting for the Spurs big buyout/waive /release of possibly Charles Bassey or Khem Birch or Sandro Mamukelashvili or Zach Collins. Meyers Leonard will be there & Hassan Whiteside could still be there.

  4. Biyambo doesn’t work IMHO. He’s too small. We need size to give AD some time at the 4 and to have some extra fouls when we play Denver and the Clippers.

  5. This is a simple one. They are holding out for one guy. That guy is woods. End of story. Period.

A few reasons why they aren't in a rush to grab whoever and if woods comes then they have the slot.

#1 woods would likely look at it and now have to share minutes with one more big. Taking away playing time from him. Not that I think that's true. But other teams would sell that to him.

#2 the Lakers wouldn't have any use for the #14 slot filler most nights if woods did sign.

#3 the Lakers are keeping a slot open for the buy out market or the +1 trade concept where they might have to take back a plus 1 to match salary and keeping the slot open allows them to Do so.

#4 Lakers have room to go get a guy if an injury happens or if a player fits.
For example they use wood for the #14 slot and maybe they say let's go get oubre Jr with the 15th slot.

#5 waiting on woods if they sign him could allow them to get a player on a non guarantee deal and keep the #15 slot open if a buyout happens.

Ultimately there are no centers available that make an impact like woods. Teams rosters are mostly full and if dudes aren't signed yet. The Lakers can hurry up and wait. 🙂

  6. No big deal either they get a big move in woods or sign someone who won’t play much they’ll still have a training camp im fine with this roster gonna to camp

  7. Lakers are staying under the luxury tax. The most they could offer is 1.4 mil. If they want to stay under the luxury tax. Also, the team wants to wait on lebron and AD injuries to decide the direction. I expect an AD trade mid season. AD can't carry the Lakers future

  8. Anybody with playoff aspirations should’ve sign Tristan Thompson by now, he was definitely one player we should have kept but that’s what happens when you have people with hidden agendas.

  9. Lakers depth chart
    Pg Russell Vincent hood
    Sg reeaves reddish Christie
    Sf prince rui diallo
    Pf james Vanderbilt Lewis
