  1. Based on this FIBA cup journey Mikal Bridges has been super solid defensively and keeps showing up and playing his brand of basketball and having a real positive impact on his USA teammates who adopted his hand sign…

More importantly it was great of Mikal to admit he doesn't care if he's scoring a lot of buckets or not as much as long as he wins and will do whatever it takes from both the offensive and defensive side of the game 🔥….

Mikal Bridges has that great competitive mindset and can be a number one two or three option on this squad when it's a contender again….

  2. Many of us wanted to know how Brooklyn would address the backup center position which quite honestly hasn't been one of Brooklyn's strengths in the past decade….

But instead of going after a traditional big Brooklyn has decided to add versatile defender players who add a lot of different intangibles that a traditional center couldn't in signing Darius Bazley Trendon Watford Patrick Gardner and now Harry Giles III….

Looking at the competition Watford and Bazley standout the most as players that can make an immediate impact. But Giles if healthy can definitely surprise people and contribute as well…

To me what is interesting is where does Dayron Sharpe fit if these candidates not only take backup center minutes but push him down the depth chart…. If anyone has more to prove this season it's that Sharpe is ready for a consistent role as a backup center….

  3. As far as what matters as a main title in the NBA winning the NBA finals championship a FIBA cup or an Olympic medal all have their own significance and importance to these high caliber players who spend hours and years molding their craft on and off the court….

I think what's a little worrisome for the team USA is they don't have a traditional big man center and unfortunately USA centers in the NBA right now are at a minimum and that's something that needs to be addressed in the future….

  4. This guy just said team USA was leaps and bounds better than Lithuania and should have beaten them with their eyes closed. Ha. What a joke..

  5. The World Series was named after the World newspaper. It doesn’t mean the world championship.

  6. Lithuania didn't have best players in the country for example Vaidas Kariniauskas plays for a team that's between Highschool and G league team. I'm from Lithuania and i only know 2 players in the roster JV and Mindaugas Kuzminskas 🤦‍♂

  7. When ant passed the ball, they passed it back. If the played 2 bigs more often they would’ve won. Kerr needs to adjust

  8. Reason why I’ll argue the NBA title as the World Championship is because while it’s mostly an American League, the best players from around the world play in the NBA.

Yes, on the surface level, there is only 1 team outside the US that’s represented. However, just because there are no international cities being represented ignores the fact that the best players regardless of nationality come to the NBA. The Nuggets may be an American team, but their best player is Serbian and 2nd best player is Canadian.

And you have international players that don’t value FIBA as much as they do the NBA.

Victor Wembenyama chose to play in the Summer League and sit out of FIBA, that alone shows the mentality a lot of these players have for FIBA.

And sure, international teams might beat us now and then, but that’s why we call it an upset. The fact that all these countries celebrate when we lose proves that they know the NBA is better.
