Signing just to get close enough to enact his revenge on Embiid for ending his career

Did some big trade just get confirmed and so these holdouts now know where to sign? Weird timing

The Wood deal and recent Blazers/Heat non-news plus Harden stand-off for me are a sign that the free agent market is thawing, and with training camps about to open, that we’re gonna see vets signing all over now. These guys wanna have their situations settled and wanna know exactly who they’re gonna sign with and be in camp with.

The Sixers badly needed wing depth, DG has experience with Nurse, won a title with Nurse. He obviously has experience in Philly and with Embiid and knows how Philly fans can be. He basically didn’t play in either Memphis or Cleveland. His limited minutes were not too good, but he now has a full offseason under him to really get his legs back under him and regain rhythm. I think he can be about 85-90% of the player he was a few years ago in Philly, which would make him deserving of an 8th/9th man role, which is what he’s probably gonna be in line to be with Philly, if that. Maybe just an insurance role, but I doubt that. I think he’ll be in the rotation and I think he can give the Sixers decent minutes.
