> Free agent guard Danny Green has agreed to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, his agent Sam Permut of Roc Nation Sports told ESPN on Tuesday night.

> Green, 36, returns to the Sixers to join an organization where his relationships — especially with Joel Embiid and new coach Nick Nurse — play a part in the organization’s desire to bring him into a training camp with a strong chance to make the opening night roster.

> Green — a three-time NBA champion — tore his left ACL and LCL in Game 6 of the Sixers’ 2022 Eastern Conference playoff loss to Miami and was traded to Memphis that offseason. Green had spent two seasons with the Sixers, shooting 39.5% on 3-pointers.

I think bringing Danny back is a fine/cool/solid move

People are freaking out like he’s getting a multi-year 9 figure contract when he’s only getting a one year minimum, I really don’t get the complaints on this one

Yeah sure, he tore his ACL, but going by cavs footage from last season he still has some juice in the tank

Also Maxey (…and Tobias) are happy to have him back, I’d imagine Embiid and others are too, it’s good for locker room vibes considering the current shitty situation, cheap way to get folks happy

But rNBA told me that Danny Green hates Joel for flopping intentionally into his ACL.

You know what I’m happy about this.

And it’s been awhile since I’ve had anything to be happy about with this franchise
