Make it make sense. They wanna keep Dame til February.

They hate that Dame requested a trade, and don’t fault Cronin for not engaging us in trade talks when no one else is interested (and our offer is “garbage”). Yet openly admit that they’ve done nothing to give Billups anything to work with from a roster standpoint. Haven’t helped Dame out one bit, no wonder his loyalty dried up and he wants to go to a winning organization. This is all just entertainment now. Hope Dame comes over before training camp, we’ll see how it unfolds!

People say “the Blazers don’t have to trade Dame/they can just wait” but what benefit does having him on the roster bring to a franchise that isn’t competing for anything? How is it better than getting young players and draft assets? If anything, keeping him is going backwards from their rebuild plan, it really makes no sense.

Those poor fools are dreading every second knowing Dame decided to dump their bum asses. Imagine holding to a fragmented vase, trying to repair it cause of your emotional fragility and knowing the guy is dead set in leaving you. Cronin needs to stop being an idiot and do business already, they aint getting offers and want to convince Dame to stay lol. What a suckass organization

If Dame gets hurt, then they’re fucked.

What do you expect from a poverty franchise

They’re willing to stunt a lottery picks growth because they don’t want to bench or trade a 33 year old star

As much as I disagree with the idea they have that there’s no risk to keeping him until the trade deadline, it still makes total sense as to why they would want to do it.

We really don’t have to make everything they say on their sub a topic of discussion on our sub, just as they don’t have to make everything we say a topic of discussion on their sub.

It makes no sense. Do u think Scoot will be thrilled to come off the bench? He wants to be a star. He wants to win rookie of the year. Coming of the bench will make that harder for him. Not to mention it will stump his progress. Not to mention the risk of dame getting hurt. They are gonna have dame and simons out there 30+ mins a night how many mins does that leave scoot and sharpe? It makes no sense

It might be more about keeping fans interested in the team. If they trade away Dame it means a total rebuild. While that would be good for their team long term. It’s probably going to hurt financially. They are hoping to get an overpay, so the fans don’t completely abandon them after losing their only star player. Sometimes issues are about money just as much as basketball.

The longer this goes on the more likely we pull Jovic from the offer

Nutcases… holding this guy in captivity after all he’s done

All of /r/ripcity is in favor of cutting off their nose to spite their face. They arent rationally thinking about what’s best for them, they are lashing out because they are angry.

    JOE CRONIN IS A CLOWN

    I have evidence

  13. It makes sense already, lots of people on this sub just don’t want to listen. They have no reason to trade Dame now if they think they can get something equal or better as the season progresses. Taking a handful of minutes away from their youngins while they play a likely professional Dame doesn’t ruin anything for Portland.
