Mavs didn’t believe in him? They did not offer him a huge contract? Who cares anyway? 🤣

Control what the ball do , fasure, crazy man

  3. Barraxx

Dallas had the audacity to tell him to participate on defense.

    Cruelty.

Defense as proven by everyone is literally effort based and this dude had an F teammate grade on defense

Trade? I thought he just signed a minimum deal.

The fact is his numbers on offense are elite.

He was improving on D but Kidd never trusted him, never gave him chance to play real starter minutes.

Hope he averages 25-10 on the Lakers, cant wait to see the people who wanted to let him walk for nothing when Dwight Powell is averaging 6-4

Fasure xD Writing IQ just like his defense.

I got an idea. Let’s forget about this guy and never make a post about him again.

Kidd did just about everything wrong in his handling of Wood.

But Wood was not professional either. The role of a player is to do what they are asked to do, be a team player, buy into a team-first mentality. If you don’t like what the coach is asking you to do, use that as motivation to try harder. Quitting on the team helps nobody, especially not yourself. In a contract year, on a team that was top 4 around that time in spite of a rough start, it makes no sense. He could have secured himself a $20m a year deal if he put pedal to the metal at that time. If a contract year won’t motivate him, I doubt going to LAL on a minimum deal and probably coming off the bench will.

And if he is showing out and Kidd is still being a jackass, everyone will know Kidd was in the wrong, and Kidd will be held accountable at the end of the year. If he isn’t, you can always walk. Your teammates and the fans would be standing up for you, We *did* stand up for you when we thought you were trying and being treated unfairly. And though I feel some sympathy for your bruised ego and the undeserved disrespect, you lost me when you checked out and stopped doing your job altogether.

A lot of Mavs fans like to scapegoat Dwight Powell for our problems, but if Wood had even 75% of Powell’s work ethic, leadership, team-first mentality and desire to overachieve he would have been a multi-times All Star already and not a career journeyman.
