We kind of saw a glimpse of that in 2020 so nah, I think zach true position is just a pure SG main reason we were searching for a PG all this time was so that zach can let go of any playmaking responsibility.

Zach, starting PG? Rather no.
Zach doesn't have the decision making skills to be the PG we require. Being a quality PG requires a certain lvl of unselfishness that Zach lacks. Remember him getting benched and being pissed about it even though he knew he was hurting us? That right there shows me his first choice is he rather shoot us out of a game than dish it to someone who has a better look.
I rather have Demar at point but that would require having good 3 point shooters surrounding him to be effective. We don't have enough of them to make defenses pay for trying to double demar
Like Patrick Beverly said Zach lavine job is to shoot hence the reason why he plays shooting guard period.
I'd rather see DeMar playing point forward than Zach as primary ball handler. If Billy could talk DeMar into playing the role he played in San Antonio, I think it would at least be better than what we got last year. You can start Carter so he can be the point of attack defender, but then let DeMar be primary ball handler on offense. That would allow four starters who are good three point shooters to space the floor for DeMar.
Too bad Billy will never make DeMar do something he doesn't necessarily want to do…
