After being critical of Luka for getting himself tossed out of the Canada game, I have renewed respect to him for finishing the game up to the final buzzer even if the game has been decided by then. He could have rested and saved himself from possible injury. Also, stars don't want to play in garbage time out of pride. But I think he was remorseful for disappointing this team and the fans who came in drove to see him and wanted to make up for the last game.
If you're Luka you can just allow the law of averages to autocorrect the effect of the miscalls/non-calls for you since all players in every game play under the officiating of the same referees. Then let the same law spread over the entire season, and that includes all the undeserved favorable calls Luka and everyone gets, though he never complained about those. Everything will balance out without expending a great amount of energy and frustration night in and night out. That's what other greats did like Michael Jordan, they put that energy to good use. Sadly Doncic has become the official karen of the nba.

sorry, I was already starting to lose some of the Luka magic, and Fiba is not helping me at all. If the mavs are another luka-centric middling team with Luka complaing all the time and the team underperforming I will be officially off the bandwagon this season.

That's because Luka is not a top 5 player.
Here are five players that are plainly better than Luka: Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant.
You could make an argument that the following 7 players are better than Luka: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jason Tatum, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Devin Booker, Lebron James.
At best Luka is somewhere between 5-10. At worst, he is between 10-15. He is not top 5.
Luka doesn't look like he's having fun anymore. he used be a lot more fun to watch. this paint backdown foul drawing crap every play is pretty boring to watch and even worse when hes tired half the game. TBH at this point id prefer him not being full time point guard

Its not Luks fault that they lost theese games, its the rest of the team.
I have learned that the NBA audience doesn't understand FIBA well. The comparisons between SGA and Luka for the game are extremely shallow.
The teams are wildly different in terms of talent and form. Especially youtube and tv talking heads seems to look at national teams are trying to compare apples to oranges.
SGA didn't play Luka 1 on 1, the Canadian team best Slovenia. It was a decent team playing a deeper more talented team.
Think Dante Exum is going to be a real good contributor to the Mavs this season …

On the leadership side of things i'm losing a lot of respect for Luka.
Your team needs you (too much) to have a chance to win but you give up on them by not defending + complaining + getting tossed out .
There's no excuses for bad attitude
4th, 6th or 7 th – it makes sense for FIBA ranking at national team level. You should deepen your knowledge into that stuff, before saying it doesn't make sense.
