Idk how you could give this off-season an A after we didn’t do much to address our center rotation for the short term. Maybe Lively is the guy in 2-3 years but we can’t keep running out 31 year old Dwight and expect to improve defensively.

The wing upgrades and rotation improvement deserves a B but we’re still asking Green, Hardy and OMax to take a big step and we just don’t know if they will

Edit: Also I think the bigger Extra Credit piece from the article shouldn’t be on Thybulle but how Exum played during FIBA. 11/2/3 in 18 minutes a game, 47% from 3, and was all over the court on defense causing havoc. If that’s our 3rd PG then sign me up.

Grade of A is too strong. It’s an A relative to our previous 3-4 offseasons but I wouldn’t say it’s an A overall.

We didn’t acquire a clear cut top 80ish player/Center in the league. We didn’t acquire a Capela/Zubac/Ayton/Turner/Claxton/etc that we need. The dropoff in the next player after Luka/Kyrie is still big.

While we love Lively and OMax we do not know necessarily how they will translate or how long it will take for them to have a playoff level impact.

I’d give it a B. We did get better defensively, we did get much younger and more athletic.

    A grade is ridiculous.

    A+ for draft.

B+ for bench players (for their contract/value for the team).

D for main players. The only difference maker is Grant. Period.

    We couldn’t get a decent center – D grade.

We couldn’t get rid of the biggest weight, McGee and THJ. We got nothing for Wood. Grade F.

Powell remains the starter. No rating.

    Overall C+
