Big deal, I performed 68 video games and am useless at 29.

AI is a disaster, fuck these assholes trying to save money

  3. respaaaaaj

Clearly programmers need to learn to proofread

  4. vwb2022

Microsoft allegedly does not use unsupervised AI to publish articles. Although, when reached for comment their representative said: ‘D’oh! Stupid bird, I never should have put you in charge!”

  5. SeanKilpatrickFan

How the fuck do they post it without proof-reading

  6. kazoblo

“Hunter, initially a extremely regarded highschool basketball participant in Cincinnati,” me too man

  7. ashwinr136

Sorry but that article was fucking hilarious

  8. ChunkyMilkSubstance

I can’t remember, did Brandon Hunter play Power Ahead or Small Ahead?

  9. RVAIsTheGreatest

So sad. My heart goes out to the Hunter family first of all, but what’s also important to take from this is the fact a lot of people have jobs on the line right now because of AI but AI simply doesn’t have the kind of human connection and emotion that’s required for stories like these. Lots of pain ahead.

Now I am curious to read an AI generated obituary for myself

  11. spreespruu

“Hunter’s expertise led to his choice because the 56th general decide within the 2003 NBA Draft.”

I’m sorry for the family’s loss, but damn this is like one of those Fiverr freelance writers that you can get for a dollar an hour. Can AI be actually this bad?

They’ve always been such a garbage corporation. Sticking us with 8.3 filenames and constantly blue screens of death for so long is just hateful.

  13. this reads more like thesaurus exercise than an AI-generated text.

  14. MediocreProstitute

I will now refer to players I dislike as ‘NBA Participants’

  15. bt8zero

This is why the shit sucks. It misses the human element that makes talent.

Relying on AI for writing tv/film and commentary in video games and shit is gonna be so damn bad.

This is why I think that AI is being used as a bogeyman with the SAG/WGA strikes…it’s no where even close to being able to write a coherent feature length script.

  17. ObservableObject

Seems like they used AI to generate it, then to hide that, they went through and ran it through a thesaurus. Pretty much every weird thing can be explained by someone choosing the wrong synonym, if you change them back to what they probably originally were it reads a lot better.

This might not even be an AI issue, just a Google Translate issue from the Bangladeshi guy they got to write this for $0.04 on AMT.

  18. livelaughloaft

AI-generated or Paul the alien trying his darned hardest to contribute to human society

  19. TheMoorNextDoor

Oh lord the family could hit them for defamation right?

  20. Future-Tart

Seems a bit too stupid to be modern ai? Sounds more like bad google translate.

Either way it’s obviously automated. Sports journalism was already pretty bad. Now it’s turning into “gobbledygook”?

  21. DaMonstaburg

While incredibly disrespectful, I did laugh at ‘…has handed away on the age of 42,’ which was funnier than it should’ve been because it was so close.

  22. BengalFan85

    Prime r/nbacirclejerk material right here

  23. ThaNorth

    > Throughout his NBA profession, he performed in 67 video games over two seasons and achieved a career-high of 17 factors in a recreation in opposition to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2004.

    Lololol

  24. Sokobanky

    > vital success as a ahead for the Bobcats

    LMAO.

Guess the new AI basketball positions are:

    Tip Protect

    Firing Protect

    Diminutive Ahead

    Electricity Ahead

    Midpoint

  25. Far-Asparagus6416

This has to be a headline from the onion, right?

    …right?
