They won’t be the only one, Dame is that guy who can put a good team over the top.

Why would OKC go for Dame when Luka and Trae might be on the move soon? It makes no sense for OKC to trade their draft capital and their young talent for a 33 year old. They are looking for someone younger definitely, plus they already got Shai, Dame does not fit OKC.

Makes no sense. They have SGA (who is better than Dame and younger) and Dort and Giddey. They have zero use for an old man like Dame who plays guard.

what if the blazers r overchieving?

If OKC is overachieving in January, then that makes a Dame trade even less likely. They are a super young team, so if their players are developing that fast, then they’ll want to keep them to see what they have longterm. Not give them away for a 33 year old that doesn’t even want to be there and now puts them in an immediate contention window. They’ll keep waiting until eventually Luka, Trae, Embiid, or Giannis asks out.

It would be weird to see Dams play for OKC, since one of his most iconic m ok moments is his shot against them. Super weird if he put them over the top for a chip.

OKC has been my dream partner.

  8. Don’t want him on a western conference team if we can help it…

This is the more realistic trade timeline. No point in making any trades with Miami before January.
