If this is true, the Heat are trying to lowball us. With the obvious assumption that Bam and Jimmy are off the table, emptying out their assets would mean 4 picks by trading Tyler Herro, and reworking their protections with OKC, along with Jovic, JJJ, and Caleb Martin (and lowry or robinson for salary matching.) Theres also Orlando Robinson but he cant be traded until december so i doubt hes involved in the talks.

Me personally, while Caleb Martin would be nice because he could be flipped into an extra asset, he isnt necessary. The 4 firsts and JJJ+Jovic are necessary. If Miami isnt willing to offer a fair deal for Lillard (which IMO would mean a championship for Miami) just fucking keep Dame.

Why wouldn’t they do everything they possibly can to get a player that makes them an immediate championship favorite?

If I were Dame I would be kinda insulted the Miami heat are lowballing for what he brings as a player.

If Windy is right, then I love Joe even more… That is exactly what I would say to them too.

Dame can go to Miami in 4 years

Droppingdimes20 posted right after this saying windy is full of shit, deal is almost done

  7. I mean okay? Remind me why the blazers have to rush and trade dame when theyre intentionally losing?

Miami must not be serious about winning a championship

  9. Either you want to win a championship or you don’t…

this positioning is stupid. they’re keeping Bam and Jimmy, and they’ll continue to be the vet min/2way destination de jour.

getting a 3rd pick unencumbered via OKC and finding a buyer for herro is not scrounging, it’s paying up for a guy who will put you into contention territory.

    come now.

  11. jagerhero

I thought there was nothing Miami had that you wanted? Now you want everything? 💀🤡

But what does that look like?

Are we seriously not budging at Herro (as part of a multi team trade), Jaquez, Jovic, Highsmith, Robinson, Martin, salary filler (Duncan), the two picks they can give us plus the swaps, the pick they can unlock with an OKC move, **and** the subsequent pick(s)/player we can get from whatever team ends up with Herro?

The bare minimum we should be walking away with is the two picks + swaps, pick(s)/player from Herro’s landing spot, Jovic, Jaquez, and I’d like to get Robinson but that’s unlikely. Doesn’t include filler there but probably Lowry if we can send Nurkic out or Duncan if we can’t. Fine with either but I’d prefer Lowry with Nurk going out.

Wonder if we’re looking at expanding the Herro move by rerouting Jaquez and Jovic for a better big

Of course we do because Miami has shitty assets compared to other teams. We wouldn’t be doing this to like the Celtics or OKC or something

    >The Heat don’t feel a need to do that.

Then the Blazers don’t feel a need to send Dame to Miami. Glad that’s cleared up, so the Blazers can now start looking at teams with serious offers.

Cronin should keep Dame and make him the new Trailcat. Everyone loves that mascot.

  16. olenikp

This is fair on both sides. Miami has every right to pay the minimum price for him and Portland should get every nickel they can for him.

  17. Lets_Go_Blue__Jays

Y’all fanbase are funny, going back and forth between Miami and Portland pages and damn it’s a good laugh.

    Portland:
“Why can’t Miami trade every asset they have for Dame, it’s a guaranteed championship”

“Miami is a trash franchise trying to get a top 10 player for peanuts”

    Miami:
“Why can’t Portland do Dame a favor and trade him where he wants to go, Hero and a few picks is definitely enough”

“Portland is a trash franchise for not giving us Dame already”

Lillard burned this bridge with Portland so I really don’t care about doing right by him. Send where ever gives us the best return. I can’t wait til he is gone.
