Nurse is a throwback coach. Doc has been around a long time, but he’s a players coach. He obviously was a player himself. Nurse has been known to ride his starters very hard (FVV/Pascal/Scottie all been among the highest in minutes the last two seasons) and he’s not going to be one to go for load management and other sacrifices that have been provided to Embiid and Harden (should he play).
We will see how it all goes but could make for excellent theater in Philly. Hope JoJo doesn’t get hurt. He played like 66 games last season, and had no long term injury, which is decent for him, but he struggled with a foot injury for much of the season last year and missed games around the ASB because of it. He’s gonna need his days off.
