[Aaronson] Sixers now have 16 players on NBA contracts. They’ll have to shrink that number by one before opening night. Most obvious candidates: Montrezl Harrell (season-ending injury), Filip Petrusev (very small partial guarantee) and Danny Green (non-guaranteed contract).

Montrezl is the odd man out
I mean… unless there was some sincere verbal agreement that EVERYONE is aware of then this has to be the guy who can’t play basketball this year.
Am I crazy to think that Danny Green could be cut and put onto the coaching staff? He is a great locker room guy every team he has been on and seems to be extremely knowledgeable of the game…just throwing that out there.
But I think the obvious cut is Trez being out for the year and his money already guaranteed but at the same time his $2.5 mil contract could be added to a trade for matching salary.
But when it comes down to it I think Petrusev ends up being cut and put on a two-way or GLeague contract.
Why do I feel like a big trade is coming…

Can’t you just get a designated injury exception on Trez? Usually I only see that for larger contracts though so not sure how it works on his contract.
