Damian Lillard Trade Update! Hornets To Heat rescue! Competition For Dame Ramping Up
Damian Lillard Trade just got another Update as the Charlotte Hornets may come to the Heat rescue and Trade for Tyler Herro. Portland Trailblazers have also been speaking to other teams.
If CHA is the 3rd team it'd have to be something like Richards, a 2024 or 25 1st, and the rights to James Nnaji so we could bring him over from Barcelona. Add in the Heat pieces (Jovic, Jaquez, Kyle's expiring, & picks) and we're good.
Id prefer Herro to Toronto and Koloko and a 1st to POR.

Uh, no team has enough to get Dame. Any team that would hypothetically have enough would have to have elite bigs or wings cause that’s what Portland wants. No team is giving up elite bigs or wings to get a guard. Most teams want to trade their guards for Dame cause that would be their need.
Miami definitely has enough, they just don’t have the right positional players the Blazers want.
What do you mean how Lamelo and Herro backcourt work, Herro played a lot off ball before this past season when Lowry was the Primary ball handler for Miami.
Lamelo and Tyler would be a backcourt not frontcourt and Tyler played with PJ Washington in Kentucky and they could use the trade to come off Rozier or Hayward's contract
Well I doubt there are any serious teams looking at Dame besides Miami. Any "rumors" the media put out there are just Blazers pushed rumors to push Miami into offering every asset they have. If there were real interests for dame they would have showed up in July. So I call BS on these rumors. Cornin tried to trade Dame before Dame said he wanted to go to Miami and couldn't find a legit offer. Facts are this NBA fans on social media aren't GMs for a reason and Dame is a undersize 33 year old guard with a huge contract that is going to put any team he goes to into the luxury tax and he will be getting paid 60 mill at 36?? Why would a franchise that has no chance of winning do that??? And why would any of the current contenders put themselves into a situation where they can't sign anymore free agents because of the new CBA rules by signing a 33 year you old who will be turning 34 next season??
I'm sure other teams are going to learn from the Cavaliers mistake, yes Donovan Mitchell is a good player but he's going to leave as soon as possible and Lauren Mark was a mistake to trade.

I can see BK offering Dinwiddie, DFS, and Clowney with 3 1sts to get Dame this weekend. That makes a lot of sense for POR.
Blazers love PJ Washington. The Heat should get PJ just to make everyone in Portland more angry at Miami.
